Originally from Canada, I left home almost a decade ago to travel around Southeast Asia and just never got around to returning. So far, I’ve lived and worked in Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Indonesia teaching English and freelance writing for newspapers, magazines, websites and blogs. I now write full time from my adopted home in Bali, and have no plans to return home any time soon (except to visit that is).
I started this website to share some of the best of the best that Southeast Asia has to offer and to inspire people to visit this incredible part of the world. Throughout my travels, I’m constantly getting off the beaten track, checking out the top tourist attractions, and staying in some of the busiest and most remote places in Southeast Asia, and I aim to bring you unbiased and honest recommendations, news, and travel advice for this diverse region.
Whether you’re planning a trip to Southeast Asia or already living here, I hope that you find the site informative and that it inspires you to get out there and explore. If you like what you see, feel free to sign up for email updates to stay in the loop about all things Southeast Asia. No spam, I promise!
